As many of you know Jared is on Redmond High School's varsity golf team. They played their first league match yesterday in Salem. Apparantly Redmond dominates the CVC league in golf and continued to do so yesterday. They took first place with one of Jared's teammates taking firsts place overall.
In a varsity match they take 5 players and when all is said and done only four scores count. Jared tied for 11th (out of 35) but was the 5th place on his team with an 83. That gives you some idea of how talented this team is.
Here is a pic of him and his friend Jake going to a tournament a few days ago. Jared tied for 5th place (took 1st place on his team - although this one was a JV tournament that they needed Jared to fill in on) in that tournament (Crooked River Ranch).
